Your thought: the louder the lie the louder your response should be…that was my takeaway. Last year from April thru December…as I would read the Scripture…the Lord would remind me of people, circumstances and setups from satan. I actually began writing them all down because there were so many and so consistently happening. Each memory I faced with repentance, renouncing as needed, seeking Jesus to come into that past experience, asking Him if I needed to call the person to apologize, always forgiving, blessing those in my memories, speaking truth over my history and renouncing agreements with the enemy of my soul. I now have a list of people and experiences fully covered in grace with no place left in my life for the lies to have a foothold. What you say in this article…it is timeless. We can follow this whether today, yesterday or 35 years ago. Praise YHWH for His timeless ability to deliver us from ourselves and the plans of satan in our lives. Praise YHWH indeed and thank you for these words. I hope 10,000s read them and follow along.
Thank you, Buck. Your words carry so much depth and freedom. That process you walked through, bringing memories before the Lord, repenting, renouncing, forgiving, and replacing lies with truth is a picture of spiritual maturity and healing in motion.
I’m especially moved by your line: “speaking truth over my history.” That right there is how strongholds are dismantled, by reclaiming the story and letting YHWH redefine it with grace and truth.
You’re living proof that the past doesn’t get the final say. When we face it with faith and honesty, even what the enemy meant for harm becomes holy ground.
Thank you for sharing your journey here. May thousands more be inspired to do the same and may we all keep turning up the volume of truth until every lie loses its grip.
